Takole piše na internetni strani od Advantixa:
"This product is extremely poisonous to cats and could be fatal due to the unique physiology of this species which is unable to metabolise certain compounds including permethrin. To prevent cats from being accidentally exposed to the product, keep treated dogs away from cats after treatment until the application site is dry. It is important to ensure that cats do not groom the site of application on a dog, which has been treated with this product. Seek veterinary advice immediately if this occurs. "
in
"as the product is dangerous to aquatic organisms, treated dogs must not under any circumstances be allowed into any type of surface water for at least 48 hours after treatment. "
Pa še malo o permetrinu na wikiju:
"Permethrin acts as a neurotoxin, slowing down the nervous system through binding to sodium channels. This action is negatively correlated to temperature, thus, in general, showing more acute effects on cold-blooded animals (insects, fish, frogs...) over warm-blooded animals (mammals and birds):
Permethrin is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic life in general, so extreme care must be taken when using products containing permethrin near water sources.
Permethrin is also highly toxic to cats, and flea and tick-repellent formulas intended and labeled for (the more resistant) dogs may contain permethrin and cause feline permethrin toxicosis in cats.[5]
Very high doses will have tangible neurotoxic effects on mammals and birds, including human beings."
V Scaliborju pa je deltamethrin, ki je pyrethroid, tako kot permethrin. Torej za moje pojme z obojim skupaj predoziraš.
Na Scaliborjevih kratkih navodilih pa piše: "Do not use with other ectoparasiticides containing organophosphates"
